Every year, as Kenyans commemorate the day we attained internal self-rule in 1963, The StAY Alive fellowship go out to give back to the community by visiting a Children’s Home. A tradition that has been passed on from generation to generation of StAY Alivers.
This year was no different. I got the pleasure of joining them on the June 2nd, 2014 as they visited Brethren Community Children’s Home located in Kahawa West.

Our Appeal
We went to the home, we were blessed to share what we had with the kids but we need to go back and complete our mission. The next set of photos show the beddings that these kids use at night.

The first thing you purchase when you’re moving into a new house is a bed or for others, a mattress. I did. I’m sure you did too. Here, they share one bed/mattress among four kids.
We’d like to go back to the Brethrens Community Children’s Home, but this time, we want to make their sleeping time a bit more comfortable.
The StAY Alive Fellowship is appealing for donations in cash or kind to purchase beddings, medicine and toiletries.
Donations can be dropped off at St. Andrews A.C.K. Zimmerman. Cash can also be sent to the Stay Alive Fellowship’s line 0728922385 (registered under John Kamau). You can also get in touch with them via the email sema@stayalivefellowship.com or on Facebook for more details.
God bless you and thanks for dropping by.
